Who can I contact regarding personal data protection?

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted in all matters relating to the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights related to such processing. If you wish to contact our Data Protection Officer, you can do so by sending an email to: iod@edwanex.com or by writing to the Administrator’s registered office with the note “Data Protection Officer.”

What data is processed, who has access to it, and where is it transferred?

When you use our website, we collect information about your interaction with our site, including: device and login information (so-called system logs), which contain data such as:

• date of visit to the website,

• IP address from which the connection to the website was established,

• data on website viewing statistics, traffic to and from individual subpages.

We use these tools to improve our website, tailor its functionality to your needs, and for security reasons. At the same time, we would like to inform you that the data stored in the server logs is not associated with specific users and is not used by us to identify users, unless the user decides to contact us.

What are your rights regarding your data?

Among other things, you have the right to request access to your data (including obtaining a copy of your data), rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing (in certain situations). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority responsible for personal data protection.

If your data is processed on the basis of consent, you may additionally withdraw your consent to the extent that the data is processed on that basis.

As the administrator of your data, we grant you the right to:

  1. Access to personal data, including the right to obtain a copy of such data;
  2. requesting the rectification (correction) of personal data – if the data is incorrect or incomplete;
  3. request the deletion of personal data (the so-called right to be forgotten) in cases where:
    1. the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed,
    2. the data subject has objected to the processing of personal data and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing,
    3. the data subject has withdrawn consent to the processing of personal data, which is the basis for data processing, and there is no other legal basis for data processing,
    4. personal data is being processed unlawfully,
    5. personal data must be deleted in order to comply with an obligation under European Union or Polish law;
  4. the right to request restriction of personal data processing – in cases where:
    1. the data subject disputes the accuracy of the personal data,
    2. the processing is unlawful and the data subject opposes the erasure of the data, requesting the restriction of their use instead,
    3. we no longer need the data for our purposes, but the data subject needs it to establish, defend, or pursue legal claims,
    4. the data subject has objected to the processing of the data, pending verification of whether our legitimate grounds override those of the objection;
  5. the right to data portability – where data processing is based on consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR;
  6. the right to object to data processing – for reasons related to your particular situation, unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms or grounds for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
  7. Where the processing of personal data is based solely on the consent of the data subject (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR or Article 9(2)(a) of the GDPR), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. This withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

What are the legal grounds and processing period for your data?

Any processing of your data must be based on a proper legal basis that complies with applicable regulations. The legal basis for handling inquiries via the contact form, statistical measurements, and the administrators’ own marketing is the so-called legitimate interest of the administrator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). This data will be processed until you submit an effective objection, but no longer than for a period of 24 months from your last contact/visit to the website or other contact with the Administrator.

Where personal data is processed for the purpose of handling inquiries made via the contact form sent by you to the Controller, it is stored for a period until you object, but no longer than 12 months from your last contact with the Controller.

Where personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, we store it for the period from the granting of consent to its withdrawal, but no longer than 30 years from your last contact with the Controller.

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, we will store it until you object, but for no longer than 20 years after your last contact with us.
